Adopting a dog is a massive change for any family. Usually, a positive one. Training and understanding your family’s pet is ever so important. Training is how we as humans connect to and learn about our puppies. It doesn’t matter if you are adopting a 13 year-old dog, or you have a brand-new 8 week-old puppy. Training has to take place either way.
As for the adoptable dogs we feature, we go into depth on what they love, their behavior, their commands, and how they have connected to adults, babies, cats, and dogs. While we cannot predict how they will react in every situation, we can offer insights based on their behavior in foster care and animal shelters. Each dog’s behavior is unique, and many animals from shelters have had difficult pasts but are eager to connect with you. As time goes on, you will bond and learn from each other.
